A Space Without Pressure
Bequesta was established in Bangkok with a single thought in mind: that the conversations people leave until it is too late are often the ones that matter most. Not because the subject is morbid, but because bringing some order to important papers and opening quiet family dialogues is one of the kindest things a person can do for the people they love.
We began as a small facilitation project, running gentle workshop sessions for expats and Thai nationals alike who felt overwhelmed by the idea of "sorting things out." The response was immediate. People were not looking for lawyers or planners at that moment — they were looking for a calm room, an unhurried guide, and permission to begin.
That is what Bequesta remains. A place to start. We offer general education, practical organising tools, and facilitated conversation — nothing more, and nothing less. For anything specific to a person's individual situation, we always point the way toward qualified professionals and the relevant official bodies in Thailand.

Gentleness above all
We pace every session to the room. No one is ever pushed, rushed, or made to feel they are behind. The tone is always warm and the door is always open to stepping back.

Siriporn Panyasak
Lead Facilitator & Founder
Siriporn has spent over a decade working in community education and adult learning in Bangkok. She founded Bequesta after recognising how many families were deferring important conversations simply because no gentle, neutral space existed to begin them.
Richard Holt
Workshop Facilitator
Richard brings a background in adult education and group facilitation to every session he leads. Originally from the UK and long resident in Thailand, he has a particular focus on supporting the expatriate community through the Gentle Beginnings Workshop.
Nanthawan Wongkham
Organising Specialist
Nanthawan leads the Wishes & Documents Inventory service, bringing a calm methodical approach to helping participants create clear, practical records. She is also the primary point of contact for the Compassion Membership community.
How We Work
Standards We Hold Ourselves To
Scope Transparency
Every participant receives a clear written scope note before each session begins, outlining what Bequesta provides and what it does not.
Participant Privacy
No personal information shared in a session is disclosed to any third party. Participant data is held in accordance with Thai PDPA requirements and our published Privacy Policy.
Small Group Sizes
Workshops are kept small — typically six to eight participants — so that every person receives attentive, unhurried facilitation throughout the session.
Ongoing Facilitator Learning
Our facilitators regularly attend training in compassionate communication and adult facilitation methodology to keep the quality of sessions high and consistent.
Professional Referral Network
We maintain a current list of qualified solicitors, notaries, and financial advisors available to participants who need to take their next step with a professional.
Participant Feedback Loops
After each workshop and membership session, participants are invited to share feedback. We review this regularly to keep improving what we offer.
Our Approach
Organising With Care
The question of what happens to the things we leave behind is one that most people carry quietly for years. Not because they have not thought about it, but because the gap between thinking and doing can feel very wide when the subject touches on mortality, family dynamics, and paperwork all at once.
At Bequesta, we sit in that gap with participants. Our role is not to provide answers to personal questions about inheritance, ownership, or legal matters — those answers rightly belong with qualified professionals. What we do is help people find the words for what they want to say, discover where their important documents actually are, and feel a little less alone in the process of beginning.
Bangkok is home to a large and varied community of people navigating these questions across different legal systems and cultural contexts. Expats considering what Thai law means for their family's circumstances, Thai nationals thinking about how to open conversations with adult children, or anyone simply feeling the weight of an unorganised filing cabinet — all of them are welcome at Bequesta.
Our sessions are grounded in general education. Participants leave with a better understanding of the questions they need to ask their own advisors, a clearer picture of where their documents are held, and often, a sense of relief that they have finally begun. That, in our experience, is what matters most.
